at my new job, they told me that the airplanes take off in the direction of the wind. so they take off against the wind. they said that the wings create a vacuum that pushes and lifts the plane up in the air. is there a website that fully explains this. how do they see the air in the wind tunnel and know how to shape the winds accordingly?

From where I live in Epsom Surrey, if the night sky is clear I can often see 10-20 aircraft flying overhead at any one time, a few of them are preparing to land at Heathrow, but most of them seem to be flying at a greater height as they make their way to other destinations.
So does anybody know how many planes are flying over the UK at any one time?

I'm speaking of something that is small enough for light aircraft not equipped with radar or transponder.I think it could be useful as an anti-collision device in some cicumstances. If you have ever seen a flash from a signal mirror or a shiny surface then you know what I am thinking about. Thanks

I want to join the Colombian Air force as an officer but they dont accept color blind persons. Im just color deficient. I need to know if is possible to convince them that my disability has a solution (the FAA gives people a color blindness waiver, that means that you can fly depending of the kind of deficiency you have). I have many military contacts so I know how do a petition or something. In Colombia color-blind persons cant join on the military as officers, at least since 1996.
