I am a pilot and I have heard through the grapevine that using polarized sunglasses in the cockpit is a bad idea because you can't see the gauges or the LCDs or something or another down those lines. If anyone has any real information on this topic I will give you ten points.

Thank you.

I was just wondering what the longest available commercial passenger flight is and what the aircraft is that flys that route. The longest i can find so far is New York to Bangkok at 17 hours in a Airbus A350. Is there any longer than this?

In many aircraft, oxygen masks are stored in compartments above the passengers. The oxygen for these masks is stored as a liquid. When it is needed, it is warmed up until it is a gas. Why is oxygen stored as a liquid rather than a gas in this situation? Any help would be appreciated- Thanks

how does that keypad work? not like the actual keypad but the system of using it. is if for an emergency where a flight attendant has to be able to get into the cockpit? do the flight attendants even know the code or is it only for the pilots. if all the crew members know the code, if someone stuck a knife up to their neck (assuming they had a knife on board...) would the flight attendant give the password? if anybody could explain the use of the keypad and in what situation you would have to use it, that would be helpful

when an airplane flies over the landscape, how far away can people hear it?

what is the radius of the airplane's noise reach?

to what degree is the radius of the airplane's noise reach proportial to the airplane's height above the ground? (in other words, how much noisier does an airplane seem to someone on the ground when the airplane is in the vicinity of an airport and thus low in altitude, versus when it is at normal cruising altitude)
