when an airplane flies over the landscape, how far away can people hear it?

what is the radius of the airplane's noise reach?

to what degree is the radius of the airplane's noise reach proportial to the airplane's height above the ground? (in other words, how much noisier does an airplane seem to someone on the ground when the airplane is in the vicinity of an airport and thus low in altitude, versus when it is at normal cruising altitude)

yuo should google all this stuff and do the math and put effort into if you really want to know about it my guess would probaably be a 500 foot radius. plus it depends on your earing. if you cant ear that good you might be able to ear it from 100ft away or closer but if you have perfect hearing then you might be able to hear it from 500 feet away.
here is how you would solve it. find out how many deciballs or whatever it is called are created from it and see how far the sound can travel from that amount of deciballs ( whatever it is called) . then do some more research about it. go to fAA .com and research... research, research, reseach. you will find it just look for it.
i hope i helped you and sorry if i mispelled some things. so remmebr about the decimals or dicballs.... you know what i mean!!!!!!!11 well good luck.

P.S. yuou will probably have to o some research on the deciballs thing. you shuld use ask.com also and ask the question.

Airplanes are severe in the air, and there would nicely be countless different wind sorts between you and the airplane. The air at floor factor will be 5 mph from the North, notwithstanding the wind at 20 feet above floor would nicely be 15 mph from the Northeast, and so on. The sound travels by skill of this complicated mix of wind sorts (on some days) transforming into differing sound outcomes jointly with Doppler shift and attenuation.

It all depends on how loud the noise is. A jet plane with an afterburner kicked in, or a sonic boom can travel 10 miles. In Taipei I lived couple of miles from the runway, and the planes (both jet and prop) did not particularly bother me - although I could hear them.
