You know, that really is a tough question. Everytime you fly you see something different, some new breathtaking view never seen by your eyes before. I can't really pick one favorite; one because there are too many and two because there is still so much to see.

I will say though, I do love to fly over the Arizona desert and southwest Colorado mountains.

The Grand Canyon in Arizona. It's view from the air gives you a much better perspective than from the ground, close up, although the latter is more breathtaking.

Greenland also. A vast frozen land that I'll never visit , except flying over it on some transatlantic flights, usually Westbound.

New York City. All the world-famous landmarks could be seen, almost at the same time.

Ireland and the UK. On some Eastbound transatlantic flights. So green and beautiful even in the winter time when it's usually white (snow covered) in the NE US and Canada (from the air). Also, I realized how small Ireland and England were compared to the country I came from, the US. It takes minutes to overfly each of those two islands when it'd take half a day to cross the continental US. I'd always known the sizes and distances on paper but to actually experience them was altogether another matter...

I'd definitely fly over by the seas, or sometimes mountains [but it's too risky and difficult for pilots]... Sometimes flying over city areas are great, even in city landmarks like Kuwait Towers at morning, highways, & other city features like that guide pilots. Mostly when the plane turns to correct it's approach path is my favorite!

Honestly, I love flying at night. When I was younger my parents seperated and my mom moved from New Hampshire to Minnesota. I had to move with her and I missed my dad so much. Once when I flew to NH for Christmas break it was at night and before landing in Boston I noticed all the lights in the city looked as if they were on one big Christmas tree. Now whenever I fly at night I remember that feeling.

Night time. It's the most beautiful because you can see the outline of entire cities. The lights form a sort of maze that simply hypnotizes you. One time that I was flying i saw fire works from up above, THAT was really nice and cool.

The Rockies. Incredibly beautiful.
Chicago, it's cool because you can see the Sears Tower.
Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA at night, because of all the lights!

I also love flying over the mountains but if you live in them, it gets old.

I love the approach into Atlanta. Seeing all of the "cookie-cutter" homes and their pools is awesome! Lots of trees and everything! very nice!

Landing at Hong Kong! especially when the aircraft is making a turn and you look outside the window. you see all these moutains and layers of thin clouds around. but I guess it's hard to see this since it's always so polluted in hong kong.

The islands of the Caribbean. The colors are endless and appear different in different types of weathers. The shades of blue and green are indescribable.
