Ok lets say you win the lottery 26 million dollars Cash NOT annuity..
What is the process after that.

1. Should I go to the lottery agency alone, or with a lawyer?

2. How much does the lawyer take in for coming with me?

3. Can i Collect the money without being all over the press?

4. How long does it take for the check to arrive to me?

5. When going to the bank can I just show up and deposit a 12million dollar check??

6. This is the most important question of all? Since I wont tell anyone about my winnings, BUT how do you tell your parents and sister? Or should I just NOT tell them, and help them little by little??? I know is tuff not telling them, But I will be afraid they could be in danger because they might tell someone and someone could hurt them or something???

I will also take more ADVICE if you have some...
Thank you so much

I know I have been asking a lot of questions toniht but I have a final tomorrow in a class that doesnt really have a book. We have a section of the test that has a place for us to say if an entry made financial statements go up, down or Now effect. For ex. if the Net income, Assets, Liab., and SH eq. I know what to do for a lot of them but I still have some questions about a few. For ex. Depreciation and Depletion ( not really sure what they effect), Amortization exp. Goodwill, depsopit refunable and cost.
I know that expenes lower net income and sh eq. but is that for every expenes?

My father is 62 and is now living abroad in Europe. He has been without income for the past 2 years, and he has not done his taxes every year because of that (he has, however, written letters to the IRS notifying them of his situation).

He has paid his taxes faithfully for as long as he worked in the US for the past 40 years or so. Would his 2 years of "tax gap" hinder his social security checks?

Does anyone know the implications of the tax break if you have two jobs. One job would qualify as self employed lets say I made 100,000 on the self employed job and 90,000 for the second job. If I use the vehicle to travel to my second job does this reduce my tax credit? Also I wanted to buy the Range Rover Sport, they claim I can get a tax break of 35,600 dollars in the first year. Does this mean my taxable income for my self employment is reduced to 64,400? I plan on buying the suv in early 2008.

If EVERYONE had to pay the same percentage of their whole incomes, wouldn't the funds from the super wealthy eliminate all of the anticipated shortages in the coming years? Why is it up to the middle class to carry everyone?
