Hi there,

I'm gonna get my first christmas bonus this year, which amounts to a couple of grand which is a lot of money to me!

I really don't want to get stung by tax and my student loan repayments...does anyone know a way around this, that's legal!?!?

My boss is pretty cool so as long as it was legal he would go along with it. Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Greg

The business i do is very small, i hardly make any business in terms of cashflow. So i wondered if i still need an accountant to fill this tax return form out.

If you are a small business do you still need an accountant anyway?

I ordered an item from ebay from a UK based seller and paid a price including VAT. A few days afterwards I received a package from China containing the item. I contacted my seller and he told me that since he didn't have any in stock he ordered it directly from the supplier.

About a month later I receive a bill from customs. I phoned them and told them my contract is with a UK supplier and I've already paid all taxation. They said they've got to check if they've made a mistake and they'll call me in 10 days time.

Should I be concerned? Do I have to pay?

I am a private seller in the UK and am selling for the first time !

i am selling my laptop on ebay.co.uk . i did all the listing writings and everything. But now i am stuck with the VAT thing!

I am in the UK and my starting bid is £299. The ebay has said listing fees is £2 and this includes VAT (luxemburg VAT) where applicable!!

Is the VAT payable for the listing fees only or is it for the whole price??

i.e. like if my laptop goes for £300 and £20 for postage total= £320. Will i pay VAT for £320+ebay fees??? or it only for ebay fees i.e. listing anf final fees???

please help. thanks.

Can you claim the tax back for using your own car for work?

I use my own car and the company provide a fuel card and pay for one service per year. What tax can I claim back?

My sales guy uses his own car and also gets a fuel card plus an monthly car allowance (pays for own servicing).

Also if we advertised the company logo and phone number on the back of our cars is there any tax reward for this?

Thanks
