They are scams, and Yahoo and the UK government aren't involved in them really. Just delete the email - you didn't really win anything, they send out tons of these and are just trying to scam you by getting your personal info or money for a "delivery fee" for your non-existent "prize"..

scam alert.

To Avoid scams here is what i tell people...
All spam emails/unsolicited phone calls/letters and faxes are scams.
As a general rule - ANYTHING involving Western Union/money gram = Scam.
my Advice: Don't deal with anyone out of state or from a foreign country or Accept or cash checks from strangers and never use wire/bank transfer services.. you risk losing your $$ and your mind.
Remember, if it sounds too good
to be true, it probably is! NEVER(ever) give out your personal information to strangers online or offline! Always be on guard.

I agree with Judy. Total scams.

For yahoo, just forward the email, including the header to abuse@yahoo.com

Unfortunately some poor soul will respond and get ripped off. I get these almost everyday.

For this and similar things that don't go directly to your junk mail folder there is an axiom: If it sounds too good to be true, it is probably not true. Delete, delete, delete.
