I have dual (US, UK) citizenship, but am now a resident of UK (this is the transition year, ie, started as a US resident). I understand the foreign tax credit and foreign earned income exclusion portion of the US tax code. Is there any relief (as healthcare expense in itemized deductions eg) for Nat'l Insurance charged by british government?

I stupidly/lazy didn't notify CT of a change in circumstances (better job more money) - I don't dispute repaying the money £500.00 but they still want me in for an interview - what can I expect. I used to work in the CT department (for a brief 3 months) so should have known better but I just never did anything about it expecting a new form to be sent to me at which point I would have clarified my situation - advice please

I know that tax court cases are held all over the country and that judges travel to select cities to hold these cases. I was wondering if there is anyway for me to find out when they will hear a tax case in Seattle. I looked on their website, but couldnt find anything helpful.

My husband won $6000 from a competition that he was in back in March. He got paid in April we have saved the money that is supposed to be taxed, and we are going to pay it in April when we thought that it was due....should we have paid Estimated Taxes on it in the quarter that it was due? We did not know anything about this this esitimated tax...and just thought that it was normal for us to pay it at the end of the year. I have been looking and it appears that we have been wrong and that we should of paid it back then. What should we expect now, and what should we do?

I sell Tupperware and MaryKay and I need a tax rate chart showing the taxes for more than $40.00 in sales. It would be easier to figure totals if I had one. The one I have now I got off the Ohio Tax site, but it only goes up to $38.51. Most of my sales are more than that. If I forget my calculator, it takes a while to figure it out.

Does the UK company collect the sales tax or does the buyer have to pay it themselves to the US government?

If the customer has to pay, how would they pay it?

Alternatively, are books zero-rated for sales tax, like Value Added Tax in the UK?
