I am pleased that she is taking action to resolve her difficulties but feel I have let her down badly - I thought she would have known better than to get into such serious debt. This means for five years she will not be able to get a mortgage - she will be 28 before she can even apply - would it be better if I got out a loan and helped her out - I could not afford to do it for both my daughters though - the other one is very sensible with money so I feel that I would be letting her down too by seeming to favour the other

Credit card consolidators? I was just curious if it's something worth looking into or not. Some tell me to do it, that'll it'll really help me with my bills and then others tell me that there is all kinds of suprise fees and in the end I'll be paying more.
any kind of help would be great! thanks in advance

I just turned 16 and just got a job. I was told I should get a savings account.... but I don't want to unless I can get a debit card with it. Can I get a a debit card with a savings account? Or should I get a checking account? Am I even old enough to get one?

Please tell me what to do because looking online and being put on hold hasn't helped at all.

Thanks

I'm trying to learn how to cut costs and save money. What do you do to save? How do you cut your costs on electric, groceries and everything else? Is there any service or particular company you know you can always get a good deal from? All ideas on anything related to this subject would be very appreciated. Thanks.

I wired $10,000 US to a currency trader and some weeks later I received a computer print-out that stated that all the funds were lost in trading (except $300.00 US).

I believe that I have been duped.

I will be getting a $5,000 tuition refund next month. My wife and I have $14,000 in high-interest credit card debt. We need another car that will last us at least 30,000 miles. Should we use the $5000 to pay towards the credit cards, or use some of it for a down payment towards a used car. Or should we try to find a car under $5000 and pay cash? Keep in mind that if we choose to finance a car, our credit card debt is probably hurting our credit score which will cause the car loan interest rate to be higher. We are using 71% of our available credit. Because I have not finished college, my schedule changes frequently, but our debt-to-income ratio on any given month ranges from 30-45%.

Am I the only one that is fed up with this? You go into *your* bank and the first thing they ask you is "are you interested in another credit card". You go into the Post Office for one stamp and: "have you heard about how we can save you money on your credit card". You go into the supermarket for a tin of beans and by the door: "sir, can I ask you if you have a credit card"...! AGH!

I can just about stomach junk mail, spam ads and the occasional cold call but I think if you go into the Post Office for a stamp, for example, the clerk shouldn't be harassing customers to take out a credit card like some sort of door-to-door salesman on commission?

Am I being old fashioned? And don't even get me on overseas call centres...
