I'm 38, Married and have a primary mortgage of ~170,000 (@5.785%) and a HELOC of about 40,000 (@7.5%).

For years, I've always paid about $200/mo extra on my primary mortgage and contribute about 8% of my income to my 401K. Given the high interest rate on my HELOC, should I be putting every bit of available cash toward paying down my HELOC, or should I continue to invest in my 401K.

It seems to make sense for me to suspend my 401K contributions and put that money toward HELOC until the rates come back down or until the HELOC balance is more reasonable.

I have no other debt.

Any advice?

Me and my wife were in serious financial trouble However we went to a web site THELOWERLENDER.Com and they saved us!!! They helped us with our credit and had our rate come down significantly while putting money in our pocket! If you are having Financial difficulty or need to lower your monthly payments I strongly suggest www.TheLowerLender.com

I had a phone activated for my daughter in law and she did not pay the bill. The phone company did not notify me before charging off the bill and now my credit score is considerably less. I previously had perfect credit before this. When I spoke to the phone company about paying the bill they said they still would not remove the negative remark on my account.

I am a victim of a scam and I have received now 3 different propositions from 'foreign dar dealers' who say they want to buy my car. I did believe the first one but the more I communicate with him and the more I realise it is all just a scam. Also you guys on Y/A have warned me that it might be so.

I have carried on emailing this 'potential buyer' and the story gets even more dodgier... they say they have a client in the UK who owes them £9000 and who paid that money in my account which should be cleared by Monday!! that I should deduct the price of my car and transfer the balance back to them!!!! all that and give away my car!!

now do you have any idea what I could give them as an answer please? they are s c u m and I want to get back to them with fireworks!!! (obviously they can still wait for my money to be transferred, it ain't going to happen!!)

I'm currently a lifeguard, earning $7 an hour (I know that's not alot, but it's pretty good for my age) and work an average of 30hrs a week. Basically, I make between $300 and $600 every other week, because I get paid bi-weekly. I have around $5,000 in a savings account and don't spend all that much on myself. I'm not looking for answers of "get another job" or stuff like that, because I couldn't fit another into my schedule. I'm looking for answers from people who have accumulated wealth and held onto it, who have experience with making their money work for them (ie people who invest or live off of interest from their savings account)
