According to the federal government's Food Stamp Program, they provide $152 per month for a single person.

I checked my own budget and found that for my family the average montly cost for household food per person is about $200. An additional $50 per month is spent per person for eating out. So a total of $250 per month per person is spent in my household for food.

I have a grocery budget of $250 a month, which I almost always go over $20 or more, but as fat as eating out, I don't know how much that'd come up to.

well for 2 people(amount of people in my house) we probably buy 50$ a week at the food store... but we probably spend the same on eating out! (my husband buys his lunch everyday at work) so probably around 500 or 600 a month..,..
