I'm talking about a *personalized* one that I can go to a bank and buy. Preferably reloadable. Are there charges for every purchase? If so, can anyone recommend a comparable one with lower fees? And would I be able to use this for automatic monthly payments for bills, etc. ?

I know the saying "You have to spend money to make money." But here's the problem. I am looking for a job because my husband and I are having money problems at the moment. The jobs I had in the past were they kind where I just wore a uniform. Since then I have been a housewife, with no need for dressy type clothing. I have few a seprate pieces that are ok, but none that I feel are really good enough. I live in an area where several large compaines have closed and layed off all their employee's, jobs are scace. And getting a job here takes an act of God. ( we are military, moving is not an option.) If I spend money for clothes and dont end up finding a job, I will just put us further in debt. Should I do it anyway?

Don't you wish someone would give you the oppurtunity to live somewhere free for a year with everything paid for excepts personal items. You would be given a house, a car, and the bills would be paid for, so you could take your paychecks for one full year and put them into the bank, to start a new life in a house on your own?
If I won the lottery, that is what I would do. I would take three single working moms with children, doing it on there own, and they have to be working. I would set the three families up in a nice house they will have to share for one full year. Buy them each a family car and pay for everything except there personals, and make them give me a percentage of there paycheck for one year, and after that year, help them get a house, and let them be on there own. With a fresh start, and a house, and money in the bank, and just to see the smile on there faces when they actually accomplished it would be blessing enough to me.
