What is going to happen to us?!! Are they going to leave us alone - Is it wise to just leave at this – we have tried to contact the creditors to explain but no use. We have been asking for financial help but no one wants to guide us, the minute they find out we have no minimum payment to make. My family and I are going through extreme hardship (unable to disclose details). And we absolutely cannot do anything anytime soon. What about these debts!! we love to pay them of but our hands are so tight. If we don’t file for chapter 13.. what else can we do? and if, so what is it they going to do to us? Please "true information only".

I had a company selling a "government grant" book and they already had all of my information! My address and obviously my cell phone # and my checking account # and now I have to change it. How could this have happened? I've used my debit card to pay for stuff online but only on secure websites!

I'm 24, married with 3 kids, doing online sales business at home & my husband is an engineer. Its not so easy to save lots of $$, as I have 3 kids & hope to have 2 more but I do save about $400- $500/month. I have savings insurance for myself & kids. Own a 4-room & a car. Any suggestions?

Okay, two answers I don't need:

1. "Dedication and commitment". I've already got them, and I've been working steadfastly over the past year, contributing all that I can to my payments. I've eliminated all spending from my life that I possibly can. Now I need to find how I can accelerate the payoff.

2. Smart-*** responses. I'm genuinely asking for tips or tricks that have worked for others. (i.e., good ways of increasing income, companies that can help reduce debt, etc.)

I've been in a debt whirlpool for the past 3 years because I was never educated against it. Now I'm trying to crawl back out of this hole.

Any more tips I might have missed? (-and yes, I am a homeowner, but I've only owned it since November of '05)

Thanks...

I've been contacted by a Nigerian Bank Manager who claims that I have inherited money from a dead relative I haven't heard from in awhile. They want to put money into my account and are contacting me persistently. They even called me. They want me to proceed with the arrangement. I think that this must be some kind of scam. I can not find out any info from relatives about my nephew dieing a few years back over in Nigeria. I think that if I were stupid enough to follow through they would then ask for personal info. I know that this would not be the right thing to do. I could contact my lawyer. I think something should be done legally about scam artists if this is what they are doing.

I'm really sick of wells fargo lately, their online banking SUCKS and purchases either don't show up for days or they show up, disappear, then show up later. Yeah I'm not too great with my finances but I'm really sick of their crappy service, so who should I switch to?! Around here we got Bank of America, Washington Mutual, and US Bank...I've heard a lot of good things about Washington Mutual...anyone use em?

If you have a checking account that means you have a debit card. If you have a debit card, why would you write checks?
