You have to find your local Housing Authority office and go to them to apply.
You can also contact Health and Human Services
You can also contact Catholic Social Services,
The Salvation Army
or finally other churches in your area.
Expect some services to take time. Housing is likely to put you on a waiting list.

File for section 8 with the Housing Authority. You will probably have to find a landlord willing to apply for approval to rent to you as there is a waiting list
