YES....make a list of everything that you spend money on during a week or a month.......
BE TRUTHFUL!!! list everything, and how much it costs......
Then look at the list, and decide what things you can do without, you will easily find a few dollars here and there....
A long time ago, i realized i was spending a lot of money (not to mention getting fat) going out to lunch at work...now i pack a lunch, which saves some $$$ and also is healthier.

Open a savings account then set it up so automatically each month you have some money transferred. In your regular checkbook the first entry each month you make is the transfer so you will not overlook the automatic transfer. Even if you start with just a little then that is great. The other way to save a little is to put you change in a jar and deposit it each month.

take what change you have in the house and put it in a coffee can where only you know where it's at, keep putting change in it until full, go to the bank that has a change-machine they put it in dollar bill ask the teller to start a savings ,and every-time the coffee can get full, put that ex-tra money in the account, you'd be surprised how fast you can have the bucks add up!

As they say...the time to start saving is when you least afford to. So that being said........ just start with a small amount.... maybe $5 a week..... then go to $10... and keep saving more and more. This year I will be putting more and more away for my retirement...hundreds a paycheck..... and I am a poor teacher.

well best thing to do is open a checking account then have it deducted right from ur check to ur savings account, u set how much u want to put in every paycheck, or if ur needing the 50 dollars to open it, then try giving it to a parent to hold on to, or a really trusted friend.

Keep it in a jar or box, up in your closet. Put a special label on it, for something that you truly want. Example: Bike Fund then put it in the bank when you get enough to start out with. Good Luck!

Use direct deposit to another account. Out of sight out of mind, and it will slowly grow. Start small and build it up.
