As a freelance decorator and character actor, I experience a roller coaster income ride: Some months are good, many are bad, and some are just down right frightening! The good months let me survive the bad ones but never enough cash to save. Is there any way I can begin to save for retirement with such an unpredictable income?

/sigh ... I would just like to experience a few years of my life without having to worry about money...

My boyfriend says he won't open up a checkings account because creditors will find his account, and just start taking money out that he owes them without his knowledge or permission. Now, I wanted to know if that was illegal, I mean, I understand if they were child support payments or something, but can creditors do that like over Credit cards, or cellphone debts?

My husband bought our house before we married. We have re-financed since then and the bank required my signature on the loan papers. I believe the deed and the tax records only have his name on them. Is this legally half my house? If my husband died - would the house be mine and/or am I responsible for the loan?

I moved to Lancaster SC right out of high school, my mother had gotten on drugs when I was 13 years old. We lost everything and was put out of our place of 17 years when I turn age 17. I was excepted into college, but didn't attend. I moved to SC after my grandfather had passed away, to help my mother I got a job and sent for her. She lived 10 good years and free of drugs. Until she passed in 2003, I had relocated to NC to better myself and get on my feet. However when she became ill with cancer, I moved back to Lancaster SC. I've just been doing bad every sense, there is no jobs here. I'm a intelligent person, smart, I've held some good jobs in the past. I just can't seem to find a work here. I'm so tired of doing bad. I'm ill myself, and don't know when my disease is going to claim mylife. I've always put myself out for other people, helping other where is my help? Can someone please make donations to me or assist me in finding help to get on my feet, and get my life together?

For many of us, not having a car is an impossibility. So we pay whatever price that put forth. The question is more specifically, what changes have any of us had to enact in our daily routine in order to cope with this rising cost. For example, I've cut back on grocery items I call my "indulgence" items...

I would prefer anyone with financial advisor expertise to answer this. We lived in Central Cali, sold our house there and are buying a new one now in El Paso, Texas for cash and will have money left. In a year or so, I would like to move back to California, but to southern California, and would like to buy a halfway decent house there. I decided that I want to live somewhere that I can have a nice garden, mild weather, and be close to major attractions. What would be your advice for me on how to tackle this difficult task?

I have some ideas, like buying in bulk, brown bagging it to work, driving a moped (90mpg is way better than 22mpg), collectors plates (one time registration fee if it is over 20 years old), just liability for insurance since i bought the moped for $350. Any other tips and tricks are great. I am in my last year of college and need to save up for a down payment on a house so I dont have to waste money on rent anymore :)
