I need to move some of my personal belongings 1,000 miles during Christmas week. There are only a few boxes, but I really don't want to rent a minivan/suv and deal with the insane traffic on the interstate that week. Is there a reasonably priced, end-consumer facing service that will ship a moderate (LTL) amount of stuff, say palletized or crated? The freight services at UPS seem to be B2B-exclusive. PODS is extreme overkill and I can't do a street drop at my new address.

there is a new company in business that is threatening to put Bill's company out of business, they need to cut down costs so Bill's boss tells him to find cheaper corn, he finds it but the corn is contaminated with aflatoxin, a toxin that can cause cancer... Bill's boss tells him to buy it anyways that if they cant sell it in US the'll ship it overseas, what ethical issue is Bill facing for sending questionable products to other markets?

We are currently building a brand new distribution centre, and I would like to put forward a proposal to incorporate an in-house creche. However, having searched the web for the last two hours, I really don't know where to start. Does anyone have any idea who i should approach in the first instance for advice? Thanks

I was wondering if it costs more (than the current postage stamp price of 41 cents) to send letters to Hawaii compared to the rest of the US on the mainland. I am sending from California, USA.

I am not interested in sending a package, just a regular < 3 ounce letter.

Okay, I've been trying to figure this out for months now. I know it's not that difficult of a concept, but I still don't exactly get how it works.

I know that tariffs are a tax on imported goods. So, from what I understand, the U.S. government makes the prices of products coming from abroad higher so that the products from U.S. companies are protected. If the government doesn't want people to buy stuff coming from abroad, why doesn't it just stop imports? Now, when an imported good is taxed, HOW MUCH is it taxed? (Again, I am just an idiot when it comes to this stuff.) Is an imported CD player going to be just a few dollars more expensive than one from the U.S. or something? I mean, wouldn't it have to be a hell of a lot more expensive in order to dissuade people from buying it? Also, does the U.S. buy the imported goods, and then try to sell them, or does the money we pay for the goods go straight to the foreign countries?

I ordered this gold thing (it's a money for a particular game). It suggested paypal, so yeah, i used paypal for ordering. I used my Check card for the payment, and it showed up as "purchase using charge/credit"

So I am guessing they're going to send me a bill?

Oh my god, I don't know anything. I am only seventeen, sorry I had to buy this gaia gold for my sister, she's addicted to that game.

I can't ask my parents because they're probably gonna be mad at me because I used my money to buy something for a game.

Please help me. I don't know how these things go.

I just got hired at AMC and the brochure says this about my Pay Periods.
The pay period for hourly associates begins on a Friday and ends the following Thursday. Hourly associates are paid every other week on Thursdays, one week after the end of the pay period. (Note: there is a 7-day delay between the last day of the pay period and payday).

This might sound stupid, but doesn't tha mean that.. let's say i work friday, saturday, and sunday right? and the pay period ends on the thursday after that, it's saying i'll get paid a week after that thursday, right? Well, wouldn't I have to go through another weekend of work DURING the pay process? So would I get paid only ONE week every other week, even if I worked two weeks? Sorry if it's confusing, but I'm very curious.
