I bought some subs on ebay using paypal. I have my banks debit master card as my payment method. I was wondering if i must send money to PP or does the seller use my paypal to extract it from my account themselves.

It should come straight out of your bank via your paypal account. You shouldn't have to transfer anything.

When you connected the debit card to your Pay-Pal account, you authorized Pay-Pal to debit your bank account. If your Pay-Pal account does not have the funds to pay for your purchase, they will automatically debit your bank account.
