At our age we are no longer saving money. We are trying to find ways to spend it wisely. So far, we have had great success. As for saving money, it dosn't happen over night. Do it on a continuing basis of $ every week.. You are not allowed to touch this, except if the world around you collapses. Those who put off thinking about the future find themselves bagging groceries when they are 70 plus. If they are lucky they greet customers at Wal-Mart, because they cannot live on SS alone..

Well I have two children that are full adults. One is 43 and the other is 41. So I am usinging my savings to leave for them when I pass on. And to give them the money to use as they want. Would be best to get an account going so you have something saved up for the future. Something that you can leave for buriel expenses and such.

I put it in the bank, and write out in my bill book , the amount I want to save. And deduct it from the balance in my Check book. so that it isn't visible to be spent.
Each pay day, I add to it. Last time I bought fuel oil with it.. And I suspect that is what the next savings will get spent on.

For my kids to go to college. We don't have any special programs to help us pay or force colleges to accept us. We have to do it the hard way by them getting good grades and me saving money.
Commander, you might want to look at the new Challenger coming out.

I save money simply because I don't have no costs like cell phones, texting, all that crap. I don't drink or party. That's a lot of extra money there.
