What happens if I die, say, tomorrow, and I have multiple savings bonds out in my name? Does the money go to my next-of-kin? Or can I put something in my will that dictates where the money goes?

I work at a convenience store that hs a high turnover, The owner only want to pay us contract labor and not take taxes out until we are`there at least 90 days, which would be fine,but i average about 50 to 58 hours a week and i get no overtime pay.i always thought you work over 40 you get paid time and a half , should i call a lawyer

I have Netzero for my internet and my phone company is ACN.
ACN has charged me an extra $50.00 this month for "High Usage Charge" meaning I used my internet to much?!?!

It's my phone line, I pay $50.00 for it to begin with, how can they charge me extra? That would be like charging me extra if I talked on the phone all day.

(We are switching companies because I HATE ACN, but I do not want to pay their stupid fee, it's ridiculous!)

Can they do this, and what can I do about it?

assume that the July 31 bank reconciliation for a company is prepared and some items are treated incorrectly. For each of the following errrors, explain the effect of the error on the adjusted bank statement cash balance and the adjusted cash account book balance.
The company's unadjusted cash account balance of 26193.00 is listed on the reconciliation as 26139.00

The bank's collection of a 9000.00 note less the 45.00 collection fee is added to the bank statement cash balance on the reconciliation.
This is not homework this is an analysis and it has me completely confused at what they are wanting for information. Does anyone know or get this???

I am a shift manager at a smoothie franchise, and I've seen how a lot of these places operate. Corporate charges a nominal fee every year, like 6-10% of revenue, but they make a lot of money selling their brand of cups, employee shirts, seasonal employee T-shirts, among other items that must be bought from the franchise.

The amount of help and assistance the franchise gives is laughable. It's like a fan club. They send you promotional materials in the mail, and you have to hang it up. There is some sort of district manager, but other than that, you're on your own. If a franchisee wants to ask a question, he has to phone another one. That's crazy, is owning one of these things worth it? It doesn't seem like there's any point to owning a franchise.
