I have Netzero for my internet and my phone company is ACN.
ACN has charged me an extra $50.00 this month for "High Usage Charge" meaning I used my internet to much?!?!

It's my phone line, I pay $50.00 for it to begin with, how can they charge me extra? That would be like charging me extra if I talked on the phone all day.

(We are switching companies because I HATE ACN, but I do not want to pay their stupid fee, it's ridiculous!)

Can they do this, and what can I do about it?

If you don't have a unlimited usage plan with ACN then every time you log in counts as a call.If you log in 25 times a day it is the same as you would make 25 calls

They can, because you didn't read the fine print. Like most people, you signed for something without reading entire what you are signing for.

If you pay only what you think you need to pay, they will send you to collections (the bill). Go ahead and argue with them, they will laugh at you.

You can always call customer service and try to make a case, but you will probably either wind up paying, or wind up paying.

Yes, it would be just like charging you extra if you talked all day, which they can do. Look at your contract. Unless you signed up for "unlimited usage", then you have a limit.

in the beginning in case you connect with a wireless the two out of your individual residing house or a associates you would be asked for a password if that password in inserted properly and your telephone/gadget says linked then confident its loose. Secondly, the clarification i've got faith o2 say information superhighway and wireless is as a results of the fact o2 have warm spots specially places including MacDonald's that permits you to hook up with there wireless for loose. And ultimately as to your question on the subject of the 500mb of information superhighway, in my adventure 500mb have lasted me the comprehensive month IF i'm no longer attempting to acquire movies flow movies. as an excellent form of the time im on fb.

Read all the fine print. Call and talk to customer service, and explain your situation.
