What is the return policy for spencers?

i just bought a $50 fog machine from Spencers, must have been outta my mind, and YES it is opened, and i used it once, and its a wste of money...............the question i have is "can i return it, and exchange it for something with the same price? whats the wholoe policy for Spencers

According to their website, this is their returns policy:

Returning an Item
The invoice slip in your package will contain detailed instructions on how to return an item. Here are a few basic requirements for returns:

* Items must be received in new and unused condition and not missing any items (including the original packaging).
* Any return received with missing items or without original packaging will not be credited.
* Items must be received in the original unopened and factory sealed package. (Please look at item carefully before opening the factory sealed packaging.)
* Returns are not permitted on any personal adult merchandise including personal lubricants and massagers

What about body jewelry?i purchased a pack of nose rings ,my body is sensitive and i can only use body jewelry from surgical steel, or actual silver. I accidentally purchased the sterling silver ones have not used them for days decided to call Spencer to make sure they were actual silver and not silver plated.they assured me, if they were silver plated it would of said on packaging. which it did not so i tried nose hoop and i think it may be infected now i cant even take it out because evreytime i budge it burns i dont know if i have the reciept anymore but i do have all the other nose rings in the pack. im really pissed ,i read their policy about returns, so am i just pretty much screwed?

from what i understand, as long as you return with the receipt with the items intact (that means with Hygiene strip if it had one in the first place) within 28 days then they will return them. if it didn't come with a hygiene strip, and they ask about it, say that it didn't come with one or they won't return it. also, returning the hangers that came with them if you were given them in the, it make them easier to hang back out for resell.
