Hello, I am a student studying Finance.
When reading a book, I came across a sentence saying "Events in the financial system could cause an increase in spending by causing an increase in the money supply. This will happen if there is an expansion of banks and their deposit."

What I don't understand is that
How is it possible that an expansion of deposits can cause an increase in money supply ,then,an increase in spending.

because
if there is an increase in the level of deposit, which means people saving more than before.
There must be fall in money supply, what is more, With people having less money in their hands because of saving, the level of spending must be lower than before.

So, would you please let me understand how an expansion of deposit causes an increase in the money supply and ultimately an increase in the level of spending?

Thank you for reading.

I've recently received a couple money chain-type letters, basically you make copies of the letter, send $1 to the six people on the list, get names off of a mailing list, and send out the letters to as many people as you like (they usually say at least 200). I've done something similar as a gag with friends with underwear, you send out 1 pair, and get about six back, so it's the same type of concept. Anyone know what I'm talking about or given it a try?

I'm a floor covering contractor and I get people trying to talk me down on the price i quoted them all the time. Why would you do that. If you go to the store and a gallon of milk says $2.99 your not going to try to hustle the cashier for a better price? I don't see why its ok to do it to me?

What items can I sell at various places online that I can make a good profit on? My sources to buy video games and DVDs don't allow me to make any profit since I buy them from the internet. How can I buy from the internet and resell there and make a profit? What items are the best sellers? I don't want to sell stuff like crafts or antiques but I want things that people can look for specifically like a "Playstation 2" instead of "antique brown watch".
