It takes just one 41cent stamp unless the envelope that came with the birthday card says-"extra stamp required". I am referring to America, only. If in doubt, though, I always just put 2 stamps on. I would rather do that than have a birthday card returned to me and have the birthday person miss receiving their card. :o) Good Luck!

it usually one takes one stamp, sometimes when you buy those cards with the square envelopes they say right on the envelope that they require extra postage. for regular envelopes it isn't the size but the weight that makes it cost more.

It depends on how much the stamps are worth!!!! Check the US Postal Service website. WWW.USPS.gov

If it doesn't weigh over one ounce, then it takes one 41 cent stamp.

Usually one, but make sure it is the right amount. They recently raised it to 41 cents.
