Now what is the method to determine retail price of a commodity. Is there a certain formula to calculate the price?

Heres the problem, i just dont know where to get started on it...

Assume that on Dec.1,2005 your company borrowed $14000, a portion of which is to be repaid each year on Nov.30. Specifically your company will make the following principle payments: 2006, $2000; 2007,$3000; 2008,$4000; and 2009,$5000. Show how this loan will be reported in the Dec. 31, 2006 and 2005 balance sheets, assuming that principal payments will be made when required.

Thanks, any help at all is appreciated.

I have found when dealing with a problem/concern regarding Carnival, it is extremely difficult to get questions answered or problems solved. In reading blogs and passenger comments, it seems to be the norm rather than the exception. As with anything, problems arise. I have written, called only to get voice mail with no returned calls and emailed. What is the answer to resolving issues and problems at Carnival. Is no one accessible in mangement?

I don't plan to steal your idea, this is just an assignment for college course that requires me to do a quick and dirty 1-page feasibility study. The business idea can be anything: a new product, a new service, a new way of doing business, etc. I am completely stuck and cannot think of anything so ANY ideas are welcome!

How does Costco get away with selling stamps for .4075 cents per stamp? Are they selling it at a loss to benefit their customers or are they able to buy it for that much and pass the savings on to the customer? Either way it seems to me that the Government should step in and stop it. If it cost 41 cents to send a letter it should cost 41 cents to send a letter. Nobody should be considered that special that they pay less than the rest of the country to send a letter.

My broker was throwing out these terms and I ,not savvy in the loan department, just listened and agreed. With a credit score of 680 he's trying to finagle a better refi for us. An option 5/1 ARM seemingly is the best but we can't secure it. Now he wants to do a $560k and $70k loan fixed. Good idea? We need to lower our payments somehow. He's trying smaller banks.
