A billion is 1 Million K in the U.S. (1,000,000 k) . However, other countries use a different number system . For example, in Mexico a billion is 1 million x 1 million , instead of (1k) 1,000 x 1 million .

You should pay off the $400 balance and not use either card unless you have an emergency. For every $10 charged to a card you can save a lot more. The old adage of pay with cash or save your cash until you can pay is the best way to live your life if you ever want to own a home and live other than that, debt free. Stay away from the credit cards, they are a trap at any interest rate.

OK a million is 1000K. And a billion is 1000 million. 1000000K.

But really a bilion is 1B, in the places I seen it used.

Or a gig? But I think a gig is bigger than a billion.

I'd say 1G because of Giga but a grand is being commonly used to mean 1,000 now a days so people might get confused.
