I live in Delaware.
I have an MBA and am curently getting BS in accounting. I'm thinking of taking a CPA exam - I have required education credits, but don't have enough work experience to get certified even if I pass it.
Do I need a CPA to have my own accounting firm?

A owner of a company has decided that, in order to improve profitability a machine will be purchased that will manufacture goods for resale and reduce the cost of the purchases of stock. The cost of the machine will be £ 100,000 and finance will be required. The owner has asked you lot for advice as to different method of funding that are available and the restrictions that the finance providers will probably require in each case.
THIS IS MY ANSWER can anyone give a better one:
In sole proprietorship, the sources of finance are very limited. A sole proprietor cannot issue the share of his company in the market, in order to collect some funds. The owner here has very limited options.
The owner can raise funds by borrowing money from his friends or relatives. Or he can apply for a loan from a bank. But for this he will have to mortgage his personal property. And this property may be taken away by the bank if the owner fails to repay the loan on time. CAN U HELP ME OUT PLEASE?

Ours is a small pvt. ltd. co. having turnover of less than a crore.
Every month we give Advance Rs.1000/- to petty cashier for petty cash expenses to be incurred during the month.
At the end of the month suppose he shows a total spend of Rs.950/- towards petty cash expenses, then can we post the entire Rs.950/- as Miscellaneous expenses or should we show the break-up of Rs.950/- into various expenses-head?
Classification of the petty expenses is not practicable because many times there are expenses less than 10/- per day for tea etc.
So, we post the entire petty cash expended in that month under " Miscellaneous expenses"
Please guide me on this issue...........

I'd like to find out how one can create a new index for American and global stock exchanges. I mean, may anyone create an index and get it quoted on its own? Is there any legal ground for the issue, does she/he have to take permission from SEC or any other entity? I'd be happy if someone could refer me to related laws, regulations etc...

When you turn on the television really late at night/ early in the morning there are a ton of late night informercials geared towards promoting systems that can make people money. Has anyone tried these money making plans or have any feedback on these late night shows. To me, they all come off as pyramid schemes, but Ive never tried them so I really dont know. Has anyone had any real success with them? -Thanks-

a. complete the repairs and sell the car for $12,000.
b. sell the car now for $9, 000.
c. never try such an expensive project again.
d. be indifferent between (i) selling the car now and (ii) replacing the engine and then selling it.
