A person who served time for bank fraud is the new manager of a Holiday Inn Express in our county, so he now has access to the financial information of all the guests who use credit cards and all the area businesses who provided background information for direct bills. Should this be allowed? Shouldn't the guests have a right to know this and decide if they want to stay there?

Hi, I am 24 and have a job that pays $35K a year (biochemist with a masters) and have been working for over 1.5 years and still live with my parents. I have a new car that only costs $180 a month and I still cannot seem to save any money even though i only go out and spend no more than $50 on weekends for fun....I have friends who are my age and are married and have multiple children and seem to be living the high life....wtf?

I ordered some items from an online company in May and I never received them. I contacted the company several times and haven't heard back from them. There is no telephone number provided to contact the company. Who can I report this to in order to get my money back?

It is a collections center and I have a year experience at a place where I was their "prodigy" in credit collections (I'm a college student.. it's the only thing to do around here).

I went in for an interview a few days ago, the first one was normal and everything.. during the 2nd one the woman said

"I see you have enough experience and know how a call center works. If you were interested in management we do hire out as well as within our company. If you want this position you need to let someone know. It will be 50 hours a week but don't let it bother you. It's basically a glorified babysitting service where you sit at a computer and deal w/the issues that co-workers bring to work from home".

I would of course talk about benefits etc before I take the offer.. but how do I go about doing this?

I've been trying to find authoritative accounting literature to help me figure out what the accounting treatment would be if there is a natural resource asset that a company holds, and after the company has already fully depleted the resource on the books the company subsequently discovers that there is a significant amount of resources available that hadn't been anticipated. For example, say a company buys a mining site for X dollars thinking that only Y amount of coal was in the site. After the Y amount has been fully depleted (on the books and in reality) the company discovers that there are actually Z more amounts of coal available. Would the company continue to report the natural resource at a $0 book value, or would the company be able to increase the value of the asset upon discovery of the newly available resources?

Any answer is appreciated, but a link to authoritative literature would be a plus. Thanks!

to recieve paymengt because I had to wait until the company i worked for was paid by its client. I picked up 3 checks that the cimpany owed me and went straight to a check cashing place and cashed the checks so i didn't have to wait in fear for them to be returned. i had reason to beilveive the company had financial problems. The checks were returned by the companys bank, the cc place called me. i gave them the name & # of the guy who hire me for the work, they left msg, they called me back, i did the best I could to help them reach him (he was not responding to my calls either) THEN his # changed and he moved from the small office he was working from in Marina del rey. NOW THE CC PLACE has mailed ME a copy of his returned check & is demanding I pay them or they will take me to court. they are writing me letters, making it sound like i wrote them a bad check! Does anyone know how I should proceed? i am doing some research, but If someone has any certain knowledge, PLEASE ANSWER MY ?TH

Now that I have been with my employer for more than three years, I qualify for a retirement account. My employer says he no longer has to give me a cost-of-living annual pay increase, and that if I want "a raise", I can just take it out of my retirement package. I need feedback, please!
