It is a collections center and I have a year experience at a place where I was their "prodigy" in credit collections (I'm a college student.. it's the only thing to do around here).

I went in for an interview a few days ago, the first one was normal and everything.. during the 2nd one the woman said

"I see you have enough experience and know how a call center works. If you were interested in management we do hire out as well as within our company. If you want this position you need to let someone know. It will be 50 hours a week but don't let it bother you. It's basically a glorified babysitting service where you sit at a computer and deal w/the issues that co-workers bring to work from home".

I would of course talk about benefits etc before I take the offer.. but how do I go about doing this?

This is my first job where I'm not being hired in as a regular person. I don't want to screw this up by looking too pushy and demanding.

Call the woman and tell her you're interested!

If you can't figure that out, you're not management material!

Congratulations!

I would tell the hiring manager that you are flattered by the offer and would like time to consider it once you receive the offer letter and benefits information. Also ask her when she needs to have you answer.

Don't be shy, but don't be demanding. Sincerity wins every time.

And don't shy away from the 50 hours. If you want to move into management, extra hours are the norm. 50 is light.

Much like you, I got plucked from the ranks right out of college and given a call center to run. One bit of advice if you take the job -- get yourself into a "first time manager's" course. Too often, new managers and supervisors are thrown in the deep end of the pool to see if they know how to swim.

Tell them that you are interested, and list why you are the best.( i.e. I have the most assets returned in my center, I have the lowest time per call...) But, don't over glorify yourself because if you do you are giving them reason you should stay at your current position. (If you feel that you are gushing and reaching, be quiet and listen they might have more to tell you! as for benefits let that be the last thing you ask like it's something you forgot. (This is so they do not think all your saying is gimme, gimme. Oh and be sure of yourself, smile and remember you deserve the job! Good luck

Tell them person who offered you that you agree to take the mgt position and let them give you the Employee Appointment Letter. You will have to read all the Terms & Conditions before signing. Do not rely on to all the information given verbally.

Once you found that, all the info is match with what she had told you then sign and submit it. You have the right not to accept the position if the Appointment Letter contains is unacceptable.

Good Luck!

I am not sure that was an offer or something said as an incentive to work there , but none the less call her - say you are interested in the job you interviewed for and the management one if it is still available

Phone call: "Hello, Mrs. Smith, I'm calling to let you know I'm more than interested in this position and would like to set up a time to discuss the wage and benefits package. When would be good for you?"

Ask for more details on the position and let her know you'd like to come in and talk about the benefits and what your salary will be...that way they will know you are interested and it will go from there

purely purely say "thanks for the grant. i have were given some extra interviews to do, and that i will get decrease back to you with my accessible commence date in some days". that's no longer uncommon for skill workers to be searching at distinct jobs quickly, so the authorities will truly understand the difficulty (extremely in case you clarify that's an complete-time vs section-time position).

Write a letter of intent. Talk to whoever is in charge of hiring or your boss.
