I just have a question regarding whether I am covered in planning for my retirement:

I am 53-years old and have a SavingsLink Plan of $10,000 with an interest rate of 5.5%; a Roth IRA of $100 in a bank at 2%; a Retirement Plan of 4 Mutual Funds: AMANX, AMAGX, SSAIX and SWHFX which covers investments in the Large Growth, Large Value, Bonds, Health Care, Tech, and International funds in the amount of $1,114.00; and a 401(k) which I invest 5% of my paycheck and the company matches it with 3%.

Do I need to make any changes or additions to my retirement plan, or am I covered as far as planning for the future?

Currently I have 10,000 company stock options valued at $50.00. Today the price of the stock is $62.00. If I exercise the company stock option today, I will get 10,000 * $12 = $120,000.00
If the company do a 2 to 1 stock split what will happen to my current stock options?

Okay so I was thinking that money is moved from peoples and organizations, my question is that more SINGLE people that HOARD MONEY OR SINGLE ORGANIZATIONS that HOARD MONEY the (LESS CASH FLOW WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM DIVIDENDS CAPITAL GAINS AND YOUR OWN BUSINESS) This stands to reason as there will be less money and WEALTH RIGHT? At leat until that person dies money will have less cash flow right? However money will have a higher value i.e. less moving? WHAT DO PEOPLE THINK OPINIONS?

I bought a stock for $25 a share. It's now worth about $18, and it's been in this range for the past 2 years. Is there anything I can do, other than selling it and writing off the $3k loss?

Seeing Euro $$ going up against USD, is it worth putting my money into an Euro account? I am not talking about big money, merely 30,000. The commission in the trading probably eats away the gain, am I right?? thank you!

How do I invest when I am only 19? I want to put my money away somewhere every now and then so I can build interest. I want to invest in stocks, iras, mutual funds, cds, and things of that nature. The problem is I am only 19 and I do not know where to go. I live in a small town. I don't know how the process works to start doing this and I really want to start investing now so I can try to make it rich in the future. I hear if you invest early, you make more money. If anyone could help me by telling me what the first few steps are and what I should do, and if there will be any charges, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,

Currently I have x shares in a company. I'm set up on a 'dividend' scheme whereby at the end of each year my dividend payment is used to re-invest and purchase more shares.

So after one year I have x+y shares, but where do the 'y' shares come from? I was under the understanding that the authorised share capital of a company was finite, and that the only way to authorise more shares was to submit to Companies House. So: does this mean that for each 'new' (or reinvesting) shareholderthe company is having to re-authorise it's share capital amount? Or is there a 'reserved' pool or something similar for "new" shares?

Thanks!

I am sorry to but I am a newbie. Maybe one day I ll be as good as you are : ) I saw that Etrade charges $7 to $12 per stocks, does it mean that if you buy 100 shares, you have to pay 700 to 1200 + the shares price? Thank you very much.

For example, a stock is worth $20
and is trading at 12 times earning
Does that mean that the company's profits have to increase 12 fold for the each stock to be "really" worth $20 (earnings per share) ?
