What I need to know is, and this needs to be answered with somebody that actually trades options for a living. The other day i was watching this stock in pre market trading it was up by 5 dallars or 5 points in pre market. i wanted to catch that move using options, i have been paper trading with option express. so i purchased deep in the money calls. and the last bid and ask, the price of the option was like 8.20 - 8.50 the last trading day, i put a limit order in for 8.60 before the market opened, i was up tremendous that day because of the price discrepancy. So my anserwer is, is this a flaw with option express, or can you put in a order in using options if you see a stock up or down significantly in pre market trading. to capture the move in within the intraday.

THANK YOU

I'd also appreciate it if anybody knew of any other major developments in the Quant industry and how the industry is affected by them. Thank you!

... leave to the care of a professional (such as one working for an investment firm/co.) to deal with?

For someone not sound in the advanced elements of investing, these two seem to be virtually the same (controlled by someone else other than that who owns them). Obviously, though, they are not the same... thanks guys

I would like to find something like "Beat the Street" game but for teens only. I don't want anything where you have to do it with your school or teacher. I've looked but can't find anything. Thanks.

This might be a bit of an odd question - but while researching funds, I see some that are at 15 dollars - and some that were once at 15, but are now at 90 dollars. Does that 90 then go to 300? And then that 300 to 1000? I hope this makes sense - I'm wondering how far can a fund go - and are there any clues to know that one is close to peaking (if that's even possible)?

From 1926 to today, most studies show that the long-run rate of return for U.S. stocks has been about 10 percent. This is far above the long-run rate o return for bonds, CDs, money market accounts and other fixed assets. Why is this so?

My daughter will be turning 13 in December. She will soon be receiving an injury settlement of approximately $43,000. She is not good with money. The attorney said it can be structured through an annuity so she doesn't get just a fat wardrobe check when she turns 21, but I don't believe insurance companies provide annuities just so they can get into corporate heaven when they die. Do they operate like banks, using your money to earn good returns while they make you dance for pennies?
