Do you think it will be a slow recoverer. The thing is since this stock ( FIG) has been out it has been in a downward trend and it is my number one loser.

I feel that I have lost enough on it it would be to late to sell any of it ( I rather see it fade to black -or red as the case may be- than to "just" take the loss) I rather lose all of it in hopes that it will eventually recover and chalk it up as an education.
Please dont be too hard on me I am bullish on this stock and prefer the anguish in hopes of proving you wrong ( those who disagree)

Hi guys. Earlier, I asked you to tell me about the feeses of discount brokerage. one thing I didn't clearly ask was that When I open the account, lets say in scottrade, how am i going to put the money in that account? by ordering my current bank to transfer money? second question: Do they (scottrade) charge money for the incoming funds (which I am obviously going to do after opening the account? Third: I have the capacity to spend $10,000, so is it enough? can I start with thi s money? Fourth: How much time does a novice like me need to spend on this business on the daily basis? Note that I am a person with ordinary mind and intelligence. I am not dull neither am I extraordinary, just normal. Also, I have read tutorials on the www.investopedia.com, so I am not totally unaware of trading-stocks.
Thank you

The feature that displays headline news, aggregated by stock ticker for those companies in my portfolios within my.yahoo suddenly stopped working yesterday. Is this a yahoo problem? If not, does anyone know how to recover this feature? I no longer can find this within the content selection offerings. My email to yahoo customer support has gone unanswered (not even an auto-reply)! :-(

tricky question of the day, lol, I was looking at my statement for my 401k and it shows for the last fiscal quester I made 5.4% interest. I've made around that for each quarter since I opened it a a while ago. Initially, I was thinking "hey, thats 20% for the year, not bad", but I don't think thats correct. I'm not sure, but if you make 5% each quarter for a year that means you made 5% for the year correct?

This is a good question for an accountant, hopefully I'm not making only 5.4% a year on my 401k, as aggressively and diversified as I have it set-up, lol

Also, I want to invest $10,000.00 at first. So is it reasonable amount to invest at first. Regarding the feeses of discount brokerage, how much do they charge on every step. For example, to clarify my question, let's say I buy stocks of $10,000.00, so they are going to charge me $7.00 only once ? and what other fees like opening a account fees? Do they charge money when I transfer my money from one bank to scottrade account? Will they charge when I sell them? Will they charge when I get some profit from selling those stocks? what about the taxes ?

Edward Jones pays a guaranteed salary for the first 18 months, then you earn income from you clients. If you leave before the 18 months, are you required to pay them back a portion? What are the repercussions?

I ordered the new collection of all the presidential coins from the World Reserve Monetary Exchange. It was a total of $32 for over 500 dollar coins that are never to be minted again. They told me that the coins would be here in about 2 weeks, and that was about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Are they trustworthy? And are these coins regular currency? If so, wouldn't I be making like over $400 is each dollar coin I bought with the set is worth one dollar a piece?! Please tell me your comments about WRME.

I have 5K that I want to invest towards retirement. I know very little about the options availible or the best move to make for the long run. I'm thinking about opening 2 roth IRA accounts at $2,500 a piece. One for me and one for my wife. And then contribuiting to both on a montly basis. Is this a good idea? Or is there a better option?

I know savings accounts and CDs hardly give any return and I have no clue how to deal with stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.

So, where would you invest money?

Thanks! :)

I got some enquiries about setting up a hedge fund. Here are my enquiries :
1.) What types of company i should register to set up a fund ?
2.) What license should I apply?
3.) For the investors, must they join the company as partners ?
4.) If they don't join the company as partners, how can we accept their fund to invest ?

Your answers and reply are highly appreciated. Thank you

I've been wondering this. The buyer of the stock wouldn't necessarily see it, the company that is issuing the stocks wouldn't get it, it almost seems to disappear. But that's not possible, is it? Learned, coherent answers ONLY, please.
