Can someone convince someone who owns Warbonds to Put POD or Payable on Death onto war bonds (Series E) (1941-45).
so that there is no struggle about the money, it just goes directly into their account right or does it get divided up in the will??

I've read, reading or plan to read the following materials:

1. Investopedia.com material: a bit sparse, not too detailed and informative

2. Jim Cramer's Mad Money: Seems like he's a fad and investing style is more short-term (1-24 months) and not longterm.

3. Lynch's One up on Wall Street: haven't finished but seems pretty outdated. Gives a lot of examples which can lead to tedium.

4. Graham's Intelligent Investor: GAH! It's huge...haven't started

5. Stanley's The Millionaire Next Door: more of a self-help finance book but seemingly very good insight into self-made millionaires.

6. Stanley's The Millionaire Mind: more or less the same as above.

I'm a member of a respectable investment club that's been around for over 20 years and I've made some money with them by buying stable stock that, over time, has gone up in price. The membership costs me about $80/yr. and it's been worth it.
Once in a while, some of their distinguished members send me offers on how to purchase stock with very high returns. My concern is that these subscriptions cost $1500, even though they have a 90-day free trial (I don't like it, they return my money). According to them, this "exclusive intelligence" will generate hedge fund returns.
So generally speaking, are these "exclusive strategies" real? Or are they rip-offs?
I can understand that there's no such thing as a free lunch, but I'm assuming that, since they're a reputable company, they are not planning to rip me off.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I am totally confused about StoP and Limit Orders. I have visited so many websites that I can say the definitions backwards. Please just explain in simplest possible words the difference between the two orders if at all there is any difference. Limit Order I think is easier to understand whereas Stop Order is freaking me out. I have read numerous threads on Yahoo with the same example "If you own ABC stock and place a Stop Order at $90.00, your stock will be sold the moment it drops below 90. What kind of moron would want to sell his/her stock at a lower price? Why would I wait for the prices to fall below a certain point to sell my stock? Won't it increase my losses? Woudn't anyone want to sell the stock when the price is right?Based on the above, I guess the same moron may place a Limit Order to buy stock if the price climbs above a certain point. It doesn't make any sense.Since Stop Orders are so complicated, I have not even glanced at Stop Limit Order yet. PLEASE HELP!!
