I try and try to make more money...simply so I can take care of myself and my loved ones... because no one else will or should. Takes all kinds in the world... some people are looking to get a bigger house...or car...or yacht....I'm just worried about the price of simple medical care....then again there are other people who think the government is supposed to take care of their every need ( or want)... and it's just amazing what people have come to think of as " entitlements".... bottled water? cell phones? child care?medical insurance? Nice life with no worries...all on the house ( tax dollars)

Are you asking this as compared to people ten years ago? Or fifty years ago? Or five hundred years ago? Was there a time when free human beings did NOT want more than they already had?
People have always wanted to earn more money, ever since money was invented.
Before money was invented, people just did as they were told, or they were killed by the Chief or the King or whoever!
Money is the most marvelous tool ever conceived; it allows you to trade "coupons" (money) you earned being a carpenter for dental work on your children. You don't even have to find a dentist who has some carpentry needs!

Because It requires money to live. The ad media puts pressure on some people to purchase more expensive goods to keep up with the fashions of the day, big houses, luxury cars, fancy clothes, to be better than others. Energy price inflation is killing peoples wages, The wish for a better life for your family is there in most people, and money can helps to get that better life. There is nothing wrong with wanting more money, the problem is when you will do "anything" to get it.

I'm for earning lotsa money. Money answereth all things for me. I want to be financially independent so I can call the shots, so I can live the lifestyle I want and so I don't have to take crap by being an employee. Why should I make someone else rich, when I could be very rich? Of course, money isn't everything, but, it makes misery a whole lot sweeter.

Everyone talks about money as if the world could not get along without. It was a blunt and clumsy human invention at best, and through it we've built a society based upon power, debt, and indentured slavery. Money is not a good thing at all, and we'll either evolve beyond it or one day perish because of it.

Businesses who hire employees are intrested in making off money off there employees work and employees are just looking to get a fraction of there worth in labor.

Its not the only thing, but it is necessary if you want good food, clothing, shelter, etc.
