What do you like to do? Try to find something in that field. Some skill trades include:
locksmithing
automotive mechanic
airline mechanic
building and construction work - electrician, plumber, etc.

There are apprenticeship programs for the construction trades ( electrician , carpenter , plumber welder etc ) .
Go to your local state employment office and ask them for the contact information for the apprenticeship programs .
Or if any of your relatives are in the construction unions , ask them for the info .

join a union apprenticeship. you will go to school while you learn and you will have the benefit of union membership.
