We are refering to USA citizens residing in the USA and in good standing with the U.S. court system during the time of the early thirtys. You see all these ads for gold for sale to prepare for hard times but what is to prevent this from happening again. September and October are generally bad months for stocks yet there hasn't been a sell-off this year. My technical analysis on the market indicates a sell-offs but it's just hasn't come so far. I have a lot of puts and am worried sick seeing the market go up! any ideas?

I already have a 401k that I invest in and I am going to open up a ROTH IRA also. What is the best company to go with, and what funds? I have looked at Vanguard and Fidelity so far. Does anyone have any suggestions on who to invest with and also once I get to their website where do I allocate my money? Any informative advice would help!
