I have an idea that if produced would be a good secondary selling option.I can not afford to produce said product, not even the prototype, but the consept may be sold. How do I find interested potential buyers. Or do I go to the origional market and tell them I have a product that will improve their sales

I think that to sell an idea is very difficult. We are in a world full of great ideas but poor on how to make those ideas a reality.
If you would like to make your idea a reality I suggest you to make a project and a business model to sustain it. After that you should try to find potential investors between your current partners (if you dont have you should think on building strong relationships). Other choice is to present the project to your local chamber of commerce or development agency.

Selling in effect is all about selling ideas.

Anyway, I would first patent your product/idea but I am sure you have to prove it works. If necessary sell the patent. Don't know if you will make any money on it with so little detail but that would be the route to go.
Also a good idea re investors if it has potential in order to create a working prototype
