I've noticed that Europeans switch commas with decimal points in numbers. For example, ten thousand dollars is written $10.000,00. Is that not incorrect? A decimal point is a point, not a comma, as I understand it.

I know when companies do well the stock increases, but what makes the transformation from increase of revenue to a stock going up?

For example, I want to buy a call less than a month before it expires. The stock goes up beyond the strike price on the day of the expiration. I appear to have 2 choices, excercise it for the stock or sell the option. What should I do? How do I notify my online broker that I want to buy the stock?
