They say it is very close to what is taught to college students in Finance and corporate America.

But in real life, we learn that there is a whole other world of stock evaluation done purely by price, called Technical Analysis. This aspect is excluded from the game.

I'm a trader and Technical Analyst, full-time, and make my living from it. So no, the game is not realistic at all to me, because they have essentially negated my existence.

But if you are interested in such arcane "theories" as "Buy and Hope" and the almost goofy "Efficient Market Hypothesis," then this game might be okay from that viewpoint.

To be fair, it does teach the interrelationships of the economy, interest rates, loan availability, and the use of leverage and keeping the balance sheet above water. And if you adhere to these "Rules" you will do well with the game.

Unfortunately, in real life, the correclation coefficient of these relationships are not constant.
