My insurance provider is refusing to pay my medical bills from surgery I had last August. They claim it was pre-existing however a review of my medical records will show that this is / was not pre-existing. Do I sue the insurance company or does anyone have any suggestions? The total amount of the bills owed are around $2000 not to mention the derrogatory effect the outstanding bills are having on my credit. I don't have an extra $2000 laying around to pay them all. I would owe nothing if the insurance company would do their part. I have paid all my co-payments. Anyone have a fantastic suggestion to rid myself of this burden once and for all. I have had about..no kidding...30 phone calls with the insurance provider to no avail.

Do you know if one is covered under Worker's Compensation while traveling directly from home to work and back again? This is not paid time, nor does the employer give reimbursement for mileage.

I have been put on bed rest and can no longer work. My job didn't offer extended medical insurance, so I lost that too. I'm only half way through my pregnancy and have lots of medical bills coming my way. Is there any kind of assistance I can get? My husband is a full time collage student and can't work because of his classes. Even if he got a job, it wouldn't cover any medical bills.

an injury that was recieved on someone's property? My son, who is an adult, tripped fell and broke his arm at a friend's house. My son has no insurance. Is the friend liable since it was at his house? He has homeowner's insurance. I wasn't sure if that covered bodily injury.

According to a clause in the Power of Attorney: "my Agent cannot designate himself or herself a beneficiary of any such insurance contracts", is this means that I'm no longer a beneficiary on her life insurance? I just found out I'm pregnant...this was after we sent the insurance application in, but since the baby was concieved before then I know it's not covered. My question is when does insurance kick in for the baby? Right away after birth, or within a few weeks? Also, if I go into the doctor with a cold, while being pregnant, is that covered? I will be talking to my agent with this, but have to wait til Tues or so, so am curious. Thanks!

I was told I would get 6 to 10 weeks of training on their computer system as it is all different for each company.

On day 3 they transfered 100 claims into my que as they belonged to a young man that was just recently fired.

Most of his claims are a mess and some are even in violation with the Dept of Insurance, (DOI).

I have not been able to check the claims totally as I do not know how to get into the claim totally in their system, I have not been trained.

I talked to my unit manager who said he talked to his boss and told them its like setting me up to fail and even my trainer said, it was so un realistic for them to think I can just dive in and handle these claims without knowing the system.

They also want to start me on getting new claims in a day or so.

I was totally overwhelmed and even called in sick, which I was having a bad allergy attack, but part of

My husband had a serious accident on company time, representing the company he worked for. He was following instructions given, fell and severly dislocated his shoulder, severed the nerves that feed that muscle and has been off work for 10 weeks so far looking at more.
We have had contact with the company today telling us that they are reviewing the sick pay and it looks like it is going to stop. I already have a solicitor in place as we are making a claim against them, but the money from that will take at least a year. My wife works so we are over the threshold for any benefits but will be unable to meet rent and other expenses.
Where do we stand legally?

I am looking to open a country store. In the store I want to rent out spaces for other vendors. My insurance agent says they need product liability insurance first to protect me. All the vendors are not liking that. One said my insurance should cover everything so they don't have to get any more insurance. Is my agent pulling my chain? Someone with more insight please advise.

Hi everybody. I am a 19 year old female, and just recently got a great job @ a laboratory where they have full benefits. I currently have BCBS TX health insurance (the high plan) and I am wanting to look into having a breast reduction really soon. I am currently a 40D and have somewhat of a "hunchback" going on. I constantly find myself slouching and when I try to straighten my back up, I only do it for a second or two because the weight ends up making me slouch again. I really don't want to have back problems the older I get, but I'm afraid if I don't do something about it, then I will by the time I am 25 or so. I also have pretty obvious stretch marks on the sides of my breast from the weight. Does anyone know or have any info on how I go about having this done? Thank so much!!
