The company I work for does not offer insurance but will pay for an individual plan. I have a bone disease and walk with crutches but have not needed any medical treatment for this for over 15 years. However, I am still denied for an individual policy. I live in Ohio and need some advice here.

Alright, I am 17 years old (My birthday is 12/9) and I am currently taking 4 classes as community college (12 credits) but I am going to be changing my major from graphic design related to education and want to drop a class. Next semester I will take 4 classes, but I don't need the class for the major I will be changing to and I don't want my GPA to be hurt by a class that I don't need. Am I allowed to drop or withdraw from the class and still be covered on my parents plan?

if a claim on car insurance is for £5,400.00 which is the value owed to the finance company, but the value according to insurance company is £5,000, can they ask for the £400 to be paid to them directly, not the finance company? additionally, paid in advance of the settlement? the insurance company want the £400 before they pay out to the finance company, is this normal?

Geico explained this to me before, but I really don't remember exactly what this means. Can someone please explain this to me so I know if I need to make changes or not? Thanks.

I'm 42 married with 2 kids. I have $1.5M term life purchased through an irrevocable trust and my wife has $500,000 of term. We have no mortage, car payments and college savings are basically taken care of. We have high level of current income and both plan on retiring around age 50 to 55. Does a $1M whole life policy make sense for me?

Here in Massachusetts EVERYONE has to have health insurance, and if you wanna drive you have to have car insurance. How can this be legal? How can the government force me into buying a product or service?! Whats next, are they going to make it mandatory for everyone to buy 7th generation ipods? This is ridiculous. What if i dont want insurance? What if i cant afford it? WTF?!! Is their any legal way around this? Or are they going arrest me if i dont get any insurance? Should i board up my windows and stock up on guns?

He says for me to wait for now plus that I always "kick him out" or want him out. I actually don't want him out but we've been fighting a lot lately. What does this mean to you? I take it as he's not sure if we're going to last again and he'd rather not go through the trouble of having joint accounts just to have them removed...What do you all think?

I have been paying for life insurance for a few years now and I am convinced that I shouldn't be. I do not have any children or plan on any in the next few years. My father says it is so I am locked into a premium. Does that really matter?

Did you know that some insurance companies base the rate they charge on a clients credit score? The do have their reasons. They have statistics that show people who pay their bills are more responsible and have fewer claims. Do you agree with this practice?

The hospital wants to bill me directly without submitting the claims to the insurance company. The reason is that according to the contract between the hospital and the insurance company, this charge is incidental fee and should not be charged to the patient. But the hospital wants to collect the fee directly from the patient without following its contract between the insurance company.

How should I deal with this situation?

I injured my back (not at work), doctor wrote me out for 5 days then released me back to work on light duty. I am in the nursing assistant field in a local skilled nursing facility. However, when I took my doctor's note to my employer, they informed me since I was not hurt on the job, they could not give me light duty. Can they deny me work even though I am released to work on light duty? I live in North Carolina and I know this is an at will state.

If my employer insists they can't give me light duty, will my short term disability insurance still pay me if I have been released for light duty but my employer won't do it?

I have a friend who owns a home in Georgia, still is paying off the mortgage, but has recently moved to Massachusetts. He wants to get health insurance but is worried about taxes on the Georgia house. Is it possible to get a state ID for MA but still keep a license and car title for Georgia, at least for a few months? Is there any sort of grace period? He recently has become ill and needs health insurance. What is the best way to go about this, besides selling the house?
