Assume I am over 60 but under 95. I am looking to withdraw my annuity over a given time, say 10 years, but the money used to initiate the annuity and deposits (the principle) were all paid with after-tax dollars. What will I have to do to ensure that I do not have to pay taxes on this portion of my withdrawal again??

I am actually asking this question on behalf of another, in case that was not already apparent.

I am designing/programming a homeowners rating system for the state of florida and eventually nationally. I need an individual conversant with homeowners insurance, underwriting, inspection and as much general insurance experience as possible. This could turn out to be VERY lucrative. I have a financial backer who is interested. You MUST reside in florida in the Tampa Bay area.

I have Geico and a $500.00 deductible. They say if I file with the at-fault driver's insurance, it will save me the deductible. They only go after the other person's insurance if I file with Geico. Is it okay for me to call the driver? He had expired proof of insurance in his car and I don't know if he's insured. My car is totaled and I have injuries. I hate to involve a lawyer because their fees are so high, it might not be worth my while. Besides, I'm not looking to get rich or help someone else get rich. I just want my car paid off.

What is the proper wording to make a sign that says that my company is not liable if people get hurt in my property.
A lot of kids come to my café and play basketball, and I don't want to get sued if anybody gets hurt.

Any thoughts?

Say my car insurance is with Company C and expires October 31 and my homeowners insurance is with Company H and expires January 31.
I saw somewhere that if I have both insurances with the same Company then I save money.
How do I line up the two insurance renewal dates so that I do not waste the money I paid for homeowners insurance between October 31 and January 31?

My grandmother put a policy on me 30 yrs ago. She passed away a few years back and the paperwork was found by my mother. I wanted to contact the company to see if the policy was still active. I can't find the company. I've searched the web and the Yellow pages. Any ideas how to find out if this insurance company is still in buisness? If not what should I do?

They said - 'It is possible that the provider is contracted with the insurance company for their fully-insured book of business. That does not mean that the provider is in-network for this patient.' What does this mean?

I have been off work after having elective surgery almost two years ago. I had an injury at my job and it required surgery. I had been there for almost seven yrs, but when they knew I was going to have surgery, they started pressuring me about my performance. I felt it was unfair so I quit and had the surgery and did not even turn it in for workers comp.
I guess it has made me lose my self confidence and I have delayed looking for another position even tho I have lots of experience. Also, I am 50 and that has a part in me returning to the workforce. I feel I am at a huge disadvantage, I guess because in the field I previously worked, they had rather hire young people and train them, then keep a seasoned employee that was struggling. The field I was in was Insurance Sales of which I have about 10 yrs or more experience. It is just part of the business that it goes up and down and I was already struggling when all this happened. Was in top 350 of the co. the yr before.
