Hey, this is question is legit!

It's not like I was making a joke (I provided no punchline, did I?) or even bashing his choice of profession.

His death just made me wonder if a person with such a dangerous job would be even be ALLOWED to have life insurance. Who would cover him?

Let's face it-- nearly every animal he faced came a high chance of some danger.

No,

but he had MONEY in the bank which is better than life insurance. His job type would be classified as K, the highest risk job and therefore would not be insurable.

It was weird I came across this question. This is a great question because I wondered the same thing. When I was devstated about his passing and the first thought of his children and then it popped in my head "If he had Insurance?" As a parent of young children you have to ask because of the risk of job he had. Would an Insurance company even take him? I agree he probably did have Life Insurance but with a very high premium. But who knows, I hope he had something for the sake of his children.

Insurance companies don't insure skydivers, some police officers, or even private pilots...I certainly doubt they would even insure an Alligator Wrestler, regaurdless of the premiums. I'm sure that a man as successful as he was, he was self insured. His Legacy will live on for a very very long time...his family will be fine financially I'm certain.

If he did have life insurance coverage, it probably excluded paying a death claim if his death was caused by an animal-related accident. So it would not pay in this case. It would have paid a claim if he died in an auto accident.

Of course. I am sure several million dollars personal insurance and the Australian company he was working for had additional liability insurance. Don't fret. His wife and children will be well taken care of.

Probably not insurable...I doubt any insurance company would take the risk.

Not if they were loners. Who would they leave the insurance money to?
