A company just bought out the company I work for. Their dress code is way more professional than what it currnetly is....like suits and crap. They are only giving us 150.00 to buy new clothes for work does this seem like a reasonable amount to you? I am pretty much just venting...I dont have anything even close to what they want us to wear and i dont have the means to buy a new wardrobe, how can they expect us to just change a whole wardrobe like that? give me a break!!!

A international corporation based out of Minnesota has made it a priority to cut two major areas of their corporation down to the bare bones...one is quality (who gives a darn about complaints from the customers) and IT, (service who needs service? Let them start using typewriters again.) All the while the CEO complains he is now down to 1 vacation home. Hmmm. Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

Do corporate executives have a legal fiduciary duty to protect shareholder value? I know that I read this or similar somewhere but by business professor disagrees.

Please only give an answer if you are completely sure. Also a link to something official that says it is true would also be very helpful.

Thanks.

Bank of America?
Anyone close thier account to find the bank left one open and you were charged for this. I now know 2 people this happened to.

I appreciated all the responses to this question earlier.
I am posting again so if I can get enough responses, I would like to send them to some legal firms to try and get action against BOA.
I believe they purposely are leaving customers second accounts open, when they ask for thier account to be closed.

makes you take a personal day when there is a power outage instead of just giving you a paid day off since it is completely out of your control? Why should you be forced to take one of your own earned vacation days?

i recently used a well known travel website to search for a hotel room in my area. i noticed a very expensive 5 star was being advertised at ₤3 per room, so took advanatge of the offer and secured four rooms. i was directed to another website where i booked, and paid for these rooms, printing out a conformation in the process. I have now received a call from the company saying they would check availability and call me back. They called saying the hotel didn't have any rooms, but i had alraedy called the hotel, and they did have 4 rooms after all . After a long talk with them they said at best they would book another hotel, but I would have to pay the difference. Is this company not obliged to let me use the rooms i paid for, and have confirmation of booking and paying for? or at least booking another 5 star for the same price (it would not compare with the hotel i booked as it is the best in the area.) do i really have to suffer for someone else's mistake?
