Before you are hired by WALMART you are given a huge package of 'rules, regulations' etc. one of which is;

You have to sign that you WILL NOT WORK IN A SIMILAR BUSINESS FOR A YEAR after leaving. My friend thought this applied only to executives, marketing etc. where that might be reasonable. She was applying for a job in the photo studio.

She went to a labor lawyer who said:

1) it is legal

2) in his experience, everyone had to sign it and

3) in his experience, Walmart goes after even relatively low guys on the totem pole for breaking this 'contractual obligation'

Yeah! Does anybody work there who doesn't absolutely have to?

I want to start a not-for-profit foundation. The only thing is i have yet to figure out what kind of corporation i am going to create. Keep in mind that I am in Miami, where at times it seems like the majority speaks more spanish than english. I was leaning more towards education. The services could range from tutoring english as a second language or helping students from another country integrate into american culture. I am asking for any new ideas or for elaboration on my two current themes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Wal mart recently was court ordered to pay workers 78.4 million for working them off the clock and while on breaks. Once they up their labor and benefits, wal mart will be beneficial to the economy. Until they they are smelly pirate hookers.

I've just paid a visit today (under duress, I might add) to get another bookcase to match my existing one. Why oh why do people go there for pleasure? They make you walk through the whole piggin' store even if you only want to buy a lightbulb....Tsk! Grr!
