I have a bumper sticker that says "WalMart is a bad neighbor". I just read that they were fined like $78 mil in fines for making people work thru their breaks and off the clock. Their response was that people chose to work thru their breaks and a couple of minutes off work off the clock doesn't matter. Can you imagine??? How much money do you suppose all the "minutes" off the clock added up to for WalMart? Anyway, I won't shop there. In my state because they won't offer health insurance the state coughs up several million in tax dollars to cover their workers!!!! I am effectively subsidizing WalMarts employees health insurance. Bogus.

Oh, I almost forgot - do you remember their old commercials when they bragged about their stuff being "made in the USA"? Well, what happened to THAT?

Walmart is bad for the North American economy.

The create low paying jobs and devastate small businesses that are the backbone of the economy. They buy most of their products from the third world at the expense of North American jobs.

They repatriate most of there profits to the USA where they are mostly shared by the few majority shareholders.

And according to most of the press reports they have dubious business practises such as the recent overtime scandal.

The only good thing is I got a great deal on the X-Man DVD.

Nope. With 4 kids and a wife to feed, they keep me from going backrupt. Thank God for competition... brings lower prices. I suspect only the Rich hate Walmart. The middle class and poor need their prices.

The World (well all except for their suppliers in Communist China) seems to hate Walmart. But they keep shopping there.

I hate Wally World. When Sam Walton ran the company, it was great, but when he died, the company went down hill fast. I truly believe Sam would be ashamed of what has happened to his company since his death.

Well "hate" is a little strong, but I do avoid it. I don't like the way they exploit their workers, and sell cheap stuff made by child labor in Communist China and undercut American workers. But I don't hate them.

He** yes! I can't stand to go in there, they have ran out the only competition they had here in our small town. They mismanage their personnel, and now they are going to hire more part-timers so that they won't have to pay for vacations, medical, and decent wages. I avoid that place like the plague.
