I'm looking into swithing my gas supplier from british gas.

Sites such as uswitch show some good alternatives and show
satisfaction ratings. The best ones however only give 62%

I'd be interested to know of anyones experiences with these other suppliers in particualr those in the London area. Do the savings jusitfy any decrease in customer service etc

What would be the best use of $100,000?

We are considering buying a house and paying cash- owning it outright instead of a mortgage. (House prices in my area are quite low)

This seems like a good idea because we will never have to worry about a mortgage, which is a long commitment.

We no nothing about investing, and we wonder if there is a better way to use the money- perhaps invest it so that it turns us a profit- albeit the profit we made would have to be big enough to offset the mortgage payment we would then be making.

Any advice?

both hubby & I had filed for bankruptcy 3 yrs ago. Business failure, overdrawn credit cards, debts & pregnant at that time costed me my job. From dual to single income, everything starts crashing down like a card houses.
Now our kid is 3 yrs old & we are really frustrated as being a bankrupt in SG is worse than being a serial killer! 3 yrs being a failure had damaged our self esteem, confidence & spirit that we had lost all our drive to get up & face the world.
How can we get out of this?????
