You need to have the experience and skills required for the job.

You should be clean, on time, presentable, and personable.

You should be knowlegeable about the fiield for which you are applying, and about the company you are applying for.

You should show interest in and enthusiasm for the job you are applying for.

You should be prepared to discuss your work history, in specific, how it applies to the position you are interviewing for.

You should be prepared to present references showing your aptitude and capability at the job.

check the ad for the job you're going for, it should tell you what qualifications etc your need, you night need experience in a similar job. also check out the firms website, they may have a recruitment page you can look at. get a good CV tho, it's always a good start

That stuff counts, but what is really important is kissing butt and parroting stupid answers to questions from dim-witted HR types.

experience, qualification,attitude,commitment ext.. are required to get a position. be crisp and relaxed while answering any question you can win.
