I had a judgement filed against me for a car loan. (fairlane Credit) I still have the car. The Judgement is for $11994.94 the amount of what I financed the car for. I had been paying and ran into rough times. The court never notified me of my court date nor did the attorney. What can I do? Can I sue the attorney for not contacting me? I don't think that was a fair deal to just enter this judgement against me without contacting me. I don't have alot of money but I wanted to pay a huge amount to get them off my back. I have two kids and need my driving rights, and if they garnish my wages I will suffer some serious HARDSHIP. How will this affect my credit am I screwed? what can I do to fix it? Help!!

Ok, im in college, 20 years old, and have my own little small web/media design business. I have 7 people on my "crew" that we as a "team" try to complete projects for clients. Well lately, nobody is doing what they are supposed to do, and no one is serious.

Our current client right now, we have been late to finish her website like three times, and the other staff were working on it. It's making my company name look bad.

So should I just cut everything, and start over fresh, go solo, using my real name as my portfolio/design business name, like John Doe Interactive, or stay with my current business and try to work things out?

I recived a call from a bill collector "very nasty" claiming he works at a law office and here to collect a debt for a Discover card. I told him i dont know anything about this, he replied well you should sir. then he said you need to pay me 3k now or else we will sue you and put a lein on your house/garnish your and her wage. I told him i need more details i dont understand he told me it was 4 years ago. I then told him where to go on how he was behaving and hung up the phone. He then back and i let the answering machine get it and he left a message saying i am right now filing a lawsuit and you will get served with the papers--see you in court and good luck. We got a credit report and it dose show 1700 has been charged off by discover in december and thats all it says . We only been married for 2 years and owned the house for 1 year. i dont want to deal with this person. anyone has delt with happy people like this

Total I brought the house for 87000 and I owe about 85000 total between the two mortgages. First mortgage has an itnerest rate of 9.5% and the 2nd is about 12%. Is this a good time to refinance. In total I am paying between 750-800 a month (not including taxes or homeowners insurance) should I refinance.

I found a house I like. It needs work and the realtor is telling me it's in preforeclosure. What does that mean? If I decide I want to buy it, what kind of offer am I supposed to make? Can I offer very little or will they reject my offer and feel insulted? I want to get a good deal and make it worth my while in having to do all the repairs. How do you determine a price?

Would they be more than likely to agree if you were to put a large down payment on the house, or agree to pay it off within a year w/a large down payment at the end? What should I know and what should I do to gurantee that this seller will let me buy this way?

Hi,
I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I recently phoned my landlord to come fix the pipe that my washer drains into(goes into the basement floor). It was draining too slow, causing water to overflow during the rinse cyle. They sent me a bill for $55. I live in Illinois and have lived in my apartment for 2 years. I consider this wear and tear. The invoice says the problem was caused by lint. It not like a drained something down there that didn't belong.

Am I responsible for this bill or is my landlord just trying to pull a fast one. Thanks in advance! If anyone could point me to a law or something I can print out to show them I will be so thankful!

I was wondering if it was possible for me to force my apartment manager to pay for my doctor bills now that I'm suffering from mold.

I know that I'm allergic to mold and before the new neighbors upstairs moved in I was fine. But now that they use their washer everyday I've noticed water damage behind the washer. I know that this indicats that there is a possiblity of mold back there...but everytime I'm near that room I can't stop sneezing.

Since the water damage appeard I can't breath, I've been having problems hearing.

This was the reason I moved from my last place and I can't handle the mold.

Is there anyway I can get them to pay for any doctor visits I need now due to the water damage and mold?
