Web development companies and tech companies are almost always looking for web developers, especially SQL, PHP, and .NET engineers. Their expectations are often outrageous, They'll want you to know about five different code languages at LEAST, though if you get the job, chances are they don't need all that crap.
The demand for them is pretty high, though mostly for code experts, the visual/graphic aspect of it isn't as much in demand as people who can write web appicastions.
